Shelter currently provides a duty advice and representation service at Gloucester County Court
during rent and mortgage possession hearings.
People attending their rent or mortgage possession hearings can consult the duty advisers for
advice on the options available to them and to clarify their rights and responsibilities in relation
to their mortgage or tenancies.
Currently rent possession hearings take place at Gloucester County Court every Monday
from 10.00 a.m. and mortgage possession hearings every Thursday from 10.00 a.m.
GLOMAS will provide representation of referred clients not covered by the duty desk at
court hearings and look at further options with defendants following the hearing. We will
report back to the referring agency or signpost people to other agencies for help with their
housing options and for ongoing money advice when appropriate.
